The 7-day tour is arranged in the north-eastern Vietnam taking you to some less travelled places such as Ba Be National Park of Bac Kan province, Quang Hoa of Cao Bang province. You also travel through Lang son province to Halong bay, a Vietnam World Wonder. Different outdoor activities have been added in the tour including motored-boat cruise, river kayaking, trekking, junk cruises, sea kayaking. The best time to do this itinerary is summer time starting from April until October. The hanoi based tour operator Lotussia Travel recommends small group size, family holidays, individuals.


 Day 1: Hanoi – Babe National Park.

We leave Hanoi for Ba Be via Bac Can. Throughout the first stage, we are crossing small villages ,they are handicrafts and cultures villages. Meeting the daily life in the wild environment. Lunch at local restaurant. Arrive in Ba Be in the afternoon. Check in the house on stilt in Pac Ngoi Village. Good dinner and overnight in a house on stilt (at terrace entire view of the lake).

Day 2: Babe lakes kayaking.

Today, we drive to local dock out of the National Park, then we paddle along Nang River, it's the highlight of the trip with so beautiful and peaceful view. We stop for lunch at Mr Hien Pirate Restaurant then boating into Babe Lake. We continue to paddle about 5 km over the biggest natural lake in Vietnam, then we take a swimming before 1 km easy-walking back to Pa Ngoi village. Dinner and overnight at house on stilt in Pac Ngoi.

Day 3: Babe – Quang Hoa, Cao Bang. Trekking.


We say goodbye to the family where we stay to head up to Quang Hoa. Lunch in Caobang city.Before arrive in the village of Quanghoa, we stop to take a soft trek to discover the Nung’s peoples village, we keep walking until Quanghoa Dinner and overnight in a family in Quang hoa.

Day 4: Quang Hoa – Ban gioc Water Fall – Quang hoa.

After breakfast, we take a bus trip of 45’ to get to Trung khanh Town where we start our 2hr paddling on a river to reach the local life along the Chinese border, we stop paddling before arrive in to the water fall of Bangioc, after visiting Bangioc, the bus take us back to Quang hoa for the night.

Day 5: Quang Hoa – Lang Son.

After breakfast, the bus take us to the North-east side of Cao bang,where we meet the Bang giang river running along the  Chinese border, from here, we start paddling until That khe village where we will meet our bus and it will take us to Lang son. Lunch en Route, We arrive in Lang son in the afternoon. Night at hotel.

Day 6: Lang son – Ha Long Bay.

We leave today the northen mountains to get to the sea, after 4hr bus trip, we arrive in Ha Long Bay around 12:00AM and board a traditional red-sailed junk for a seafood lunch while sailing to a big floating fishing village. Once arrived, you’ll receive instructions on kayaking techniques and safety procedures by Easia’s guide. Start 2,5-hour paddling from fishing village through dramatically limestone formation, giant cave, beaches. Swimming. Enjoy a fresh seafood dinner and over night on board.

 Day 7: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi.

After breakfast. Final paddling to meet mother boat for farewell lunch then cruise back to Bai Chay Harbor. Drive back to Hanoi. End of the trip.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (L,D).


7:00am: You will be met up with Lotussia Travel team at your hotel in Hanoi (please advise your hotel name upon your confirmation). Enjoy a full day road trip along the national road 2 via Viet Tri Tuyen Quang to Ha Giang. Have some photo stops and short walk along the way to visit Tay Ethnic villages near by the road and enjoy beautiful scenery of lush palm forests, tea plantations and stunning valleys.
Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant in Tuyen Quang.
After lunch, we continue our drive towards Ha Giang. Arrive in Ha Giang town at about 04.00pm. Check into a local stilt house in a Tay village. If time permit, enjoy a short walk around the village before having dinner. Overnight in a local stilt house.
 

 Day 2: Ha Giang – Bac Me – Meo Vac (B,L,D).

After breakfast, depart for Bac Me following the national road 34. Several stops will be made en route for taking pictures. We arrive Bac Me  around noon. Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant in town.
After lunch, we continue our drive toward Meo Vac. The first portion of the road weaves its way along the Gam river amongst high mountains and thick forest. Other stops will be made en route for you to enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the wild nature.
Crossing the Gam river and following the newly built road uphill for about 27 km to Niem Son commune where we will spend almost an hour for visiting a small village of the H’mong and Nung ethnic peoples.
Continue driving uphill through the remote and deserted region to Meo Vac with the tough topography and climate of this remote highland which is in high contrast with what have been seen the day before. Getting close to Meo Vac, there appeared some small hamlets of the H’mong built on the immense limestone world. Stop for visiting one of these hamlets for the first impression of the very hard life on this mysterious limestone highland.
Arrive in Meo Vac and check into a local hotel for overnight.
 
Day 3: Visit Meo Vac Sunday market. Travel to Dong Van (B,L,D).

Breakfast at hotel.
The whole morning will be spent on visiting the Meo Vac market. Meo Vac market in Ha Giang Province is held every Sunday. It is the only one of its kind in the entire northern mountainous region of Vietnam. The market is not only for buying cows by the locals living in the karst plateau, it is also a time for the Mong ethnic people to get together.
Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant in town.
After lunch, we depart for Dong Van. We will stop en route to visit a small village of the Lolo. The narrow road winds its way on the wall-up and deserted mountain sides offering great view of a narrow valley where the Nho Que river sneaking, amidst mountain feet. This is Ma Pi Leng, probably the most famous mountain passes in Vietnam! We will visit a village of the H’mong for witnessing the hard life on this highland. Also here the true value of cultivated land and water can be seen!
Upon our arrival in Dong Van in the late afternoon, we will check into a local hotel for overnight.
 
Day 4: Dong Van – Quan Ba (B,L,D).

Check out hotel at 08.00 and drive 26 km to Lung Cu, located on the northernmost tip of Dong Van highland and Vietnam as well. Here you will visit two ethnic villages: One of the H’mong ethnic – majority of Dong Van district - and one of the Red Lolo – A very small ethnic group.
After visiting these villages, we will leave Lung Cu driving down hill for about 25 km to The Vuong Family Palace, once ruled over the H’mong in the region and popularly known as King of the H’mong.
Then we continue driving to Sung La where we will have a short walk to visit a H’mong village that has very old, typical and beautiful houses.
Driving uphill a stunning mountain pass, then turning right for 5 km to Pho Bang ancient town. This town was built hundreds of years ago as a regional trading center between the local and Chinese traders. Walking for about an hour to explore this charming town which is featured with two storey wooden houses, clay walled, Yin and Yang tiled roofs and leisure atmosphere.
Leaving Pho Bang, we drive down hill to Yen Minh, located in a lush valley. Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant in town.
After lunch, we leave Yen Minh for Quan Ba. Enjoy marvelous scenery the lush forest and stop at the top of the pass for great view of the surrounding region.
Take a break at the foot of the pass and walk to a village of the La Chi, another small ethnic group with only over 3,000 individuals in Vietnam whose culture is really unique and strong.
Continue by road 4C along the Mtem river for an hour, walking to a village of the Zao ao dai (Zao with long dress) is located at the center of a large and stunning valley before arriving in Tam Son town.
Upon our arrival in Quan Ba, we will check into a local guesthouse for overnight. 
 
Day 5: Quan Ba – Ha Giang – Ha Noi (B,L)

Leaving Tam Son, we drive uphill to the Quan Ba Heaven Gate which is famous for the great view of the Tam Son valley with the “ Twin Hills”. You may wish to take a short walk to a small hamlet of the H’mong before continuing our drive to Ha Giang and onto Hanoi.
Lunch en route.
We will arrive Hanoi around late afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi. End of our service.

The 7-day Vietnam mountain bike trip is provided in the remote norh-western Vietnam. You pedal through the less traveled places in Vietnam and meet up with different ethnic groups such as the H’mong, the Red Dzao, the Giay, the Thai…The mountain biking tour takes you from Hanoi through Mai Chau, Phu Yen, Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai and ends in Sapa town, Lao Cai province.  Itinerary:

 Day 1: Hanoi city tour. Bike tour briefing (L)

 8:00 am you will be met up with Lotussia Travel guide at your hotel in Hanoi. Enjoy half day tour to visit some major travel highlights of Hanoi such as the Ho Chi Minh complex and the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son temple. Walking around the Old Quarter.

 In the afternoon, our guide will take you to our bike store, where you will test the bike with your selected frame size. You can also put your gear on the bike for your convenience. Enjoy some test bike ride around our bike store then travel back to your hotel.

 Day 2: Hanoi – Mai Chau (B,L,D)

 After breakfast, you will be met up with our team again and transferred to Luong Son, Hoa Binh province where you start cycling on the back road to Kim Boi direction. It s nice and peaceful countryside view.

 You will get to Cun hill and the guide will pick you up at a place for lunch.

 After lunch, you get transferred to Phu Cuong village for a second bike ride of the day. The afternoon ride is through the village of the Muong people in the vallage floor and along the Da river reservoir. It is back road ride with view of the village and water.

 Late of the day, you arrive in the village of the Thai People, where you have dinner prepared by local Thai family and overnight on the stilt house and explore the local culture.

 Day 3: Continue Biking l Mai Chau – Phu Yen (B,L,D)

 After breakfast and farewel to the host, you get transfer to the old Highway #6 to Pha Ly Pass. From there, you start cycling to Van Yen Ferry and enjoy the spectacular view of the mountainous road and Da river side.

 You arrive in Phu Yen in the afternoon. Check in Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

 Cycling Distance: from 70km.

Accomodation: standard hotel.

 Day 4: Continue Cycling l Phu Yen – Mu Cang Chai  (B,L,D)
 After breakfast , you continue your mountain bike trip cycling from hotel to Ba Khe, and get transferred to Nghia Lo for lunch.

 You will have a nice and scenic bike ride in the afternoon to Mu Cang Chai, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

 Cycling distance: 80km. Lunch: picnic. Accomodation: Standard hotel.

 Day 5: Continue Biking l Mu Cang Chai - Sapa (B,L,D)

 Today ‘s cycle is moderate in the peaceful and nice road with nice and friendly countryside. You will cycle to Than Uyen where a stop will be made for you to have lunch.

 After lunch, you may need a short break before you have the second bike ride in the afternoon to T junction of Road 4D to Sapa.

 You will be picked up again by your support vehicle and transferred to Sapa. Check into a local hotel for overnight.

 Day 6: Sapa Biking (B,L)

 Start the Sapa mountain bike trip from Sapa for 10 minutes road ride southwards of Sapa town let. Then turn left and follow a large dirt and rocky track 1 hour uphill to Hang Da Village of the Hmong neat the top of Den Thang Mountain. Enjoy great view of Muong Hoa Valley

and a short walk to explore this isolated village.

Continue riding for 15 minutes on high elevation of the mountain side and then the track become narrow and tough for 1 hour downhill. Some part of the trail are really tough with loosed rocks. Passing several hamlets of the Black Hmong of Hau Thao Commune with some short stops for meeting peoples. Continue to Hoa Su Pan Village, enjoy lunch break.

 Ride downhill and cross the river to other bank, and then uphill to Giang Tu Chai Village of the Red Zao. Explore this village and then passing through the bamboo forest, terraced rice field to Ta Van Village of the Giay. Cycle around this large village and stop biking in mid afternoon at Ta Van Bridge. Picked up and transfer back to Sapa.

 Free dinner and overnight in Sapa at hotel.

 Day 7: Sapa – Hanoi (B,L)

 After breakfast you farewel to Sapa and start your 10-hour road trip back to Hanoi. You have chance to enjoy the nice view of mountainous road. Lunch on the way. You get to Hanoi in the afternoon. Check into your hotel. The end of Lotussia Travel service.
