The overnight trek is arranged in Bach Ma national park, Thua Thien Hue province, in the central Vietnam. Begin your holiday adventure with a car transfer from your hotel in Hue to the park where you enjoy a short trek uphill to the peak. You trek through jungle and spend the night in a camping tent. Enjoy great views and discover a diversity of plants, birds along the hiking trail. The tour is provided with English-speaking tour guide, support vehicle and trekking equipment. Itinerary:

Day 1: Trekking and camping in Bach Ma National Park

7.30 am you will be met up with Lotussia Travel local team at your hotel in Hanoi. Depart for Bach Ma National Park. Upon our arrival in Bach Ma Travel Center we embark on a short trek to mountain peak for the spectacular view of the national park. We then descend and follow jungle trails to reach Five Lakes where natural pools created by the stream. If weather permits we can swim in the pools. Lunch will be provided at the Five Lakes. After lunch we continue trekking to Do Quyen Waterfall, a beautiful waterfall, 300m high and 20-30m wide. After here we trek to our camp site where we will have dinner and stay overnight in tents.

Day 2: More trek in the morning

You would enjoy the beautiful sunrise while sipping tea or take a short guided trek to explore nature trails on which you may see lots of birds, and butterflies. Leave the national park at 10am we drive back to Ha Noi. Tour ends around 11.30.

About Bach Ma National Park:

Bach Ma National Park is located in central Vietnam  in the provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam. The national park covers an area of about 37,487 ha in the districts of Phu Loc, Nam Dong and Dong Giang. It was created in 1991 and extended in 2008 to protect the centre of the last corridor of forest stretching from the South China Sea to the Annamite mountain range at the border with the Lao PDR. With steep mountains and dense forests this area is home to a wide variety of animals and plants. At the base of the mountains there is tropical monsoon forest, above 900 m sub-tropical forest. There are species from both northern and southern Vietnam, and Bach Ma is recognized as one of the areas of Indochina with high biodiversity. Bach Ma mountain peak was the highest point in the park before extention at 1450 m above sea level and is only 18 km away from the coast.

In summer the climate around Bach Ma Peak is cool and this was principal reason for etablishment of BachMa Resort in the 1930's. Here the french built 139 villas, guesthouses. Today we can see some of these villas still remaining in the jungle, which are distroyed in the American War and reclamed by nature.

During the war American Army used the summit as a helicopter-base and the area saw a lot of heavy combats, that unfortunately distroyed some parts of the forest.

Today you can find many interesting plants and animals. The Park is habitat of precious species, which are at risk of extinction.
